Stephanie is a sought after vocalist for weddings, funerals, and special events. Her expressive voice and compelling stage presence add elegance to any occasion. Versed in classical repertoire, Stephanie is also at home in musical theater and jazz. She has performed internationally and has experience singing in various languages including Italian, French, German, Latin, Spanish, Russian, and Hebrew. Her professionalism and musicianship produce an effective working relationship with other musicians and vendors.
Stephanie’s comprehensive and extensive repertoire list make it easy to choose selections for your event. Through her background in sacred music she is able to assist in selecting songs for services in various denominations and she is especially equipped to lead a Catholic mass from her extensive experience as a cantor.
Stephanie understands the significant role of music during special events. “Music is an invaluable tool in heightening the emotion of a special day. When I sing, I am thinking of technique and accuracy but the most important aim of my performance is to touch the hearts of those listening. If my voice can bring a sense of joy and inspiration then I have truly succeeded.”
No matter the genre you are interested in singing, classical training provides an important foundation and helps ensure proper voice usage. As vocalists, our bodies are our instruments and Stephanie encourages her students’ expression through music. There is always something new to be learned and she finds great joy in helping students discover and unlock their talent.
Proper vocal technique is achieved through control of the breath and the correct usage of the musculature. Various vocal and breath exercises will aid in developing your stamina and versatility.
Students will gain confidence in their abilities through musicianship and learning about elements of performance such as audition protocol, stage presence, and diction. Stephanie also incorporates music theory so students can begin to understand the language of music. For more advanced students and those interested in opera, they will have an opportunity to sing in a variety of languages including Italian, German, and French.
The piano is an excellent foray to the world of music. Stephanie teaches beginning to intermediate piano lessons and uses the Faber Piano Adventures method books. Piano is recommended for those that are too young to begin voice lessons, those that are beginning their musical journey, and those who would like to enhance their vocal prowess through musicianship and the ability to read music. Many vocalists learn through rote and those that know how to read music will be able to use this skill throughout the course of their musical lives.
Stephanie delved into the world of songwriting in 2020. She took an intensive online course about songwriting and sync licensing and has since collaborated with other songwriters, musicians, and producers from around the world. In just a couple of years she has created a catalog of more than 40 original songs and over a dozen covers.
Stephanie actively pitches her songs to music supervisors and sync agents to be placed in the films, TV, and ads. You can hear her singing "L-O-V-E" in the opening credits of the Netflix movie "Just Short of Perfect" and hear her cover of "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" featured in the Hallmark original holiday movie "Holiday Heritage."
